Our Story...

Ok, where do I begin?!

It was 20 years ago this year and the city of Nottingham was crying out for its own scooter club, Eastwood, Hucknall and Ripley all had one so why couldn’t we?

Me and a few pals had owned scooters for a short while so decided to try and form a little club. A touch of leg work and plenty of drinking was done at various Northern Soul and 60’s mod do’s and the word was spread about our new little club.

Within a couple of weeks numbers had increased from 4 mates to just fewer than 30 members. We had all types of scooters in the club, classic lambretta’s and vespa’s, plenty of PX’s and T5’s.

In the early days we attended every event and rally going, there were so many members that there was always someone out and about flying the flag for the Nottingham Scooter club. Many members have come and gone over the years and it’s nice to see that a lot have gone on to form various other scooter clubs within the Nottinghamshire area.

After all these years the club is still going strong, attending rallies and events where possible.  At present we have a modest number of members which currently stands at 20. A few of the original members are still highly involved in the club and we have managed to recruit a few new members over the past couple of years. Membership is by invite only.

As you can see from our photos we are mainly a MOD orientated scooter club with plenty of classic vespa’s and lambretta’s mostly adorned with mirrors, lights and flashy chrome.

We can normally be found having a coffee or two every Wednesday night somewhere around Nottingham.

Finally, we would like to say a big thanks to all the local clubs for there support over the years. Here’s to another 20 years of happy scootering .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Thanks, Franco.
